Kia ora whanau, my name is Monique Roberts and I am a fulltime teacher here in the Little Adventurers Room at Bloom. I have 3 children Jayden-13, Shayla-12 and Taija-8 and an amazing husband. I also have a beautiful Rottweiler dog named Nala. She is my other baby! We are originally from Auckland and have lived in Papamoa for 4 years. In the weekends we love to go for bush walks, hang at the beach and spend time with extended whanau and friends. I have completed a Bachelor of Teaching and have my full registration. I have been teaching for 13 years and it is my passion. I absolutely love when tamariki thrive and learn alongside their friends. I love to work closely with whanau to help guide and support their tarmariki to help them become capable and confident learners. I believe in creating a non-rushed and warm-inviting environment for the tamariki to learn and discover at their own pace. With many opportunities to problem solve, take risks, build resilience and socialise. I believe once a child feels safe and secure and they feel a sense of belonging their learning will happen naturally. The relationships I build with children are so special and magical and this drives my teaching as I believe relationships is the core to everything in life. I love to see children, happy and engaged in their play and most of all having fun. I feel so lucky to be able to have fun alongside them every day. Thank you for sharing your beautiful tamariki with me as I learn so much from them every day.
